For a guide on surviving church go to the Tempted Link. If you are wondering just where we are have a look at a map by following the link below. The location of the church is marked on the map by a red circle. Detailed Directions The Rector here is The Reverend Michael Parker. He was instituted to the parish in May 2000 having served in parishes in Birmingham, England and also in Belfast here in Northern Ireland. You can read his monthly Rectors Letter from the parish magazine if you are wondering what is in his mind. Our curate assistant is The Reverend Robin Harris. If you are thinking about the things of faith and would like some food for thought do take time to have a look at our Reflections page or our Prayer Page. For something a little more tongue in cheek see the link from that page to the Wise Words of Winnie section. When it comes to navigating the site the colour graphic in the top left corner of each page will always return you to this Home Page. The Site Map page in the navigation bar will give you a full overview of the contents of this website. The blue stylized cross will take you to the Provincial website of the Church of Ireland The parish has a broad range of very active organisations catering for all age ranges. If you are younger organisations of interest include Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbow Guides, Brownies, and Guides and Youth Fellowship For our older members we have a large range of things going on. An annual dinner dance to a "Friendship Afternoon", and a thriving Indoor Bowling Club are just some of the activities available. Our Mothers Union branch is strong having just recently enrolled an additional seventeen members. It provides for the parish, amongst many other things, a Traidcraft stall. In addition the St. Gall’s Walking Club is open to all ages and runs a series of walks throughout the year aimed at walkers of all abilities or none. Recent triumphs include an assent to the summit of Slieve Donard, a wander around Tollymore Forest Park and a rather nice barbeque lunch to follow! If you are neither "young" or "older" we have an active program of events for people in their 20’s, 30’s and even sometimes in their 40’s! We refer to this group as "The Mob". Highlights in the forthcoming year include "Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook", a Table Quiz, and Skydiving for Beginners.
